In regard to the house with the message on the door ... We live in a rural area, and most people have enough land here that they tend to stay to themselves. For several months now and from a distance, we noticed something strange was happening to one of the houses nearby. It looked like it was going down hill fast, and garbage started piling up in the yard. One night, the police were summoned. The house had been occupied by a forty-five-year-old man and his teenage son. The father had been making drugs and selling them. One of his cohorts failed to pay him some money. So, he went and set the other guys house on fire. Immediately, the man with the burning house grabbed a gun and drove over to our neighbor's house. When our neighbor saw the gun, he shot the man. The wounded man drove himself to the hospital, and he is now recovering. The neighbor who shot him must have thought he killed that person because he shot and killed himself. Now, the fatherless teenager is shifting from family to family, and he doesn't know if he will be implicated in his father's activities. The bank hired a big crew to gut the house, too. So far, we have counted 10 big dumpsters full. Doesn't this story sound like something out of a bad movie? We never guessed the situation was as bad as it was.

Diane, That is a scary story. It reminds me of the movie "Winter's Bone," from a couple of years ago. Meth is apparently a really destructive drug.
